This Privacy Policy explains how the Water Tank Monitor mobile
application (the “App”, package com.tindarsoft.watermonitor), provided
by Tindarsoft (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles your information. By using the App you
agree to the practices described below.
1. Summary
- The App is a client for monitoring water tanks and controlling a water pump.
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party advertising or analytics/tracking SDKs.
- The only personal information involved is the account credentials you enter to sign in, which are sent to our server to authenticate you.
- A login token and your theme preference are stored locally on your device and are never shared with third parties.
2. Information We Collect

The App does not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or device identifiers, and it contains no advertising or analytics trackers.
3. How We Use Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your signed-in session.
- To retrieve and display water-level, tank configuration, and historical data.
- To send pump on/off commands that you initiate.
- To remember your in-app display preferences.
4. Network & Permissions
The App requests the following Android permissions:
INTERNET— to communicate with the monitoring backend over HTTPS.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE— to check connectivity.
Pump control is sent directly to a local device on your own network (a private IP address) over your local connection. These local commands do not pass through any third-party service.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (communication with our own backend) or to comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
6. Data Security
Communication with our backend uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Your authentication token is kept in the App’s private storage, which is not accessible to other apps on a non-compromised device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
Data stored locally (your token and preferences) remains on your device until you log out or uninstall the App. Logging out clears your stored token. Any data held on our backend is retained only as needed to provide the monitoring service.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your Choices
- You can log out at any time to remove the stored authentication token.
- You can uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
